HOLY MARY

Mary, the Mother of Jesus, is venerated in Orthodox and Christian churches as the Mother of God and the Virgin. She is considered holy and innocent. Mary was a Galilean, the spouse of Joseph, and a virgin. It is said that the Holy Spirit descended from heaven to bring her the joyful news that she carried the child of God in her womb - Jesus of Nazareth. Like Jesus, Mary is said to have risen after her death.
